Burberry check!!!

When talking about plaid pattern, the first brand come into our mind is….Burberry! The plaid pattern almost becomes the trademarks of Burberry. The black, white, and red pattern known as haymarket check or the "Burberry classic check". This kind of check was mostly used for the trenchcoat, scarves and luggage. Base on this color pattern, it also develops different kind of colors which in the same pattern structure and the color tone used. Let’s see the bellowed pictures:

The colors used in the Classic Burberry Check are: Black, White, Red and Brown.There are different kinds of color theory to analysis color.

For Black and white, they are the achromatic colors as both of them are devoid of hue(low chroma).
Red is additive primary color which is an aggressive color.
And brown is dark value and dull intensity of red hue and it’s also an aggressive color.
There is two pair of colors which are in a contrast. The first one is black and white and the second one are red and brown. In this second pair of contrasts, which archived by added the value and intensity.

For dark blue, it is the secondary color in low hue value and it’s a receding color. (low chroma)
For yellow, it is the primary color in high value and it’s a aggressive color. (high chroma)
It also has two pairs of color pattern which are in contrast. One is black and white again. And the other one is dark blue and yellow. This pair of color performs a higher contrast than the classic one. In this time, it doesn’t use the value and the intensity to make the contrast, it use complementary color to make the clear contrast of the colors.

Even for those lightness colors, it also can produce the check pattern base on the colors structure.

For White and Grey, they are the achromatic colors as both of them are devoid of hue (low chroma)
For blue, it’s the primary color which in a high value and it’s a receding color.
For baby blue, is light value and bright intensity of blue hue and it’s also a receding color.
In this case, it’s also having two pair of color which is in the contrast.
The white and the grey is the contrast color which grey is the light value and bright intensity of black.
And the blue and baby blue, the contrast is archived by added the value and intensity.
